Very cool to see you guys in Manarola looking very relaxed and tanned!! It is so lovely up there and seeing your photos bought back heaps of memories. Enjoy the walks!!All good here still basking in Otago's Ranfurly Shield victory.....at least we can say they have held the shield in our lifetime now. One week of work left and then we are off to the States for a month..........so looking forward to that. Love to you all!!! xxx
Gibbo (??), I hadn't realized that you'd been here - neat town eh? Fantastic news about the Shield - I had a couple of txt's so was super excited ESP about the fact that we didn't find a new way to loose it in the last few minutes !!!! Read a neat stuff article that had some classic Tony Brown comments. Heading for the States wow - hope you have a wonderful time and make sure that you put up photos:)
Mainly East Coast but having a few days at San Francisco and Las Vegas first. Looking forward to it but first need to finish off my never ending pile of work....roll on Friday. Just listened to Tony Brown on the radio who indicated that the team has had a longer period of celebrations than what you would expect in other provinces because of the student factor......god I hope they can retain the shield after the Hawkes Bay challenge Sunday. Hope all good with you guys and you are enjoying the Cinque Terre..i think Vernazza was my fav. Gibby xx
Arrivederci Italia, bonjour Cote d'Azur! We will be keen to hear how you are enjoying the Med, the south of France and St Remy-de-Provence, (Antibes was a particular favourite, especially the "old" area of Antibes and Eze gorgeous!) When next we hear from you Madame et Monsieur Hayes will have joined you, tres bien, prego! Catch up next week, au revoir, ciao, Borths x
Mike Devlin: first day of spring in NZ today, so presumably it is first day of Autumn in France, and you will have woken up in St Remy de Provence. We are all following your travel adventures from back here in NZ, and loving the commentary and the photos. The view from Cinque Terre Maranola was amazing. I hope that Camping L'Etollle D'Argens Frejus was fun - were you camping ??? Big news in NZ currently is the Ranfurly Shield in Otago - but a challenge tonight, three candidates after the Labour party leadership, and the botulinum scare in Fonterra milk powder was a false alarm - so you are missing nothing at all !!!! Beautiful sunny day in Dunedin, so I'm off to the beach today - will think of you all at a beach on the other side of the world. Into your 6th week of your tour, so you will be looking forward to groups of friends that are joining you soon. Looking forward to the next post from you all - enjoy your week in Provence. Mike
Hi Mike - wonderful to get the news from home. Unfortunately I caught up on the footy score ! In St Remy and it is absolutely wonderful. We have a enormous place that we are sharing with Jacquie and Steven and it wonderful to e able to sit down after dinner and have a chat and a drink or two. Better go and get Kate off to sleep :)
