  1. Ciao familia,
Loved the last photo's from Paris,Versailles and especially the windowkissing homage to LV Champs Elysees, tres bien, merci beaucoup.

Ciao to Roma and italian life in general, it's lovely here today, spring may have sprung so we're very excited about that, I thought I could actually hear spring bulbs groaning and pushing thrpugh the soil yesterday it was THAT warm, prego!

Glad to hear the pace is slower and you are having later starts later finishes, all part of the european lifestyle and don't they do it really well, j'adore their way of living and the balmy nights, ooh la la, very chic.

All good in the hood here, Lady P has tonsillitis, Harry has learned to crawl and Alexander can say "Tex" so major milestones in the Borthwick Clan.

We are both loving the mesagges and the photo's and seeing you all relaxed and getting so much out of your adventures, bravo.

Bring on the Cinque Terre, Tuscany and St-Remy-de-Provence, love Al & Jules x

    1. Hi Borth. Lovely to hear from you. When you comment on the blog it doesn't immediately appear - it comes to us for approval to publish. This has created abit of confusion for people - but I think it helps to prevent random/inappropriate things being posted. So now my lesson on blogging is over - great to hear that spring has sprung in the hood :). I can picture my daffs now .... Which is a nice thought. I hope that Lady P is getting better, poor wee thing. We are having a lovely time, but we are missing Louie - every time we see a dog we do the big awh thing and then that reminds me of you because I remember you saying you did that when you were away and missed Tex. Oh on the subject of Louie - our Kate has now turned into a LV "spotter" - unfortunately the person can be standing right next to us when Kate will point out rather loudly "there is a LV" ... Does make me smile though, nothing like teaching good taste early :). Ciao from the Devlin's xxxx

  3. Hello Devlins, it looks like you are really getting the hang of it. Looks like you are seeing the highlights and getting to enjoy the ambience. Another big earthquake in Wgtn this afternoon, you will be glad you are not there. Cold, rainy and windy here. Jacob has had a cold for 2 weeks so took him to the naturopath yesterday to try and boost his immune system after all those antibiotics. She gave us some powders and also wants him to cut out wheat, sugar and dairy! I'm not sure there is much left in his diet if I cut that out! No toast, no cereal, no pasta, no cheese. Arghh! I think she realised the enormity of what she was saying and said any reduction will help his body to heal. So I'm going with that! Need him to feel better for our trip. Good luck with driving on wrong side. Don't drive tired. L xx

    1. Hey Laura. Wendy here :). Sorry for delay in replying - no Internet access last night. We were in Montefaclo, which was a wonderful wee village a couple of hours out of Rome. Driving for Andrew (and me as a passenger!!) was bait stressful at first but once you get on the big roads it wasn't too bad. We only did one roundabout three times:). Poor Jac - it makes sense that the antibiotics have killed everything, not quite getting the connection with the food though? I hope that what she has given him helps build him up for your holiday. He won't want to be feeling under the weather for the trip. We arrived in Tuscany today - its so nice to be out of the big cities. We are in a fantastic apartment (I asked to change from the original one we were given). The bet thing is the pool and the fact that we don't have to go anywhere if we don't want to. The place where we are staying makes there own wine - 3 or 4 euros each!!! We have cracked the first bottle of white and it is going down very well ..... Less than a month until we see each other - I can't wait (actually all the Devlins are excited). W xxx
